South Bay
The trip was made to address and understand the various ways our health is impacted. From structural issues in the healthcare system to environmental factors that impact ones health, the trip aims to push a wholistic perspective of how the current state of health has come to be.

The trip DeCal will encourage participants to have conversations about how critical service-learning methodologies can guide impactful action in health equity Through various methods, we will understand how systemic inequalities perpetuate health inequities and how structural issues, rather than individual or community flaws, lead to poor health outcomes. Students will also be challenged to view community work as an education process and look at community involvement with a lens of cultural humility.
