Break Leader Info
As a break leader, you create then teach a 2-unit DeCal about your trip’s respective social justice issue and organize a week-long spring break service trip with community partners.

2 semester commitment!!!!!
- Fall semester - create DeCal, plan trip, fundraising, weekly meetings, administrative work, *MUST BE AVAILABLE TUESDAYS 6-8*
- Spring semester - teach DeCal, go on service trip, fundraising, less frequent meetings
*MUST BE AVAILABLE TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS 6-8*

Director Team Info
As a Director, you will be responsible for the administrative
and behind the scenes work of Alt Breaks, such as all community
meetings, trip coordinating, etc.

2 semester commitment!!!!!
*MUST BE AVAILABLE TUESDAY 6-8 AND SOME WEDNESDAYS*
Open Positions

- Communications: Manages recruitment, messaging, and public-facing materials to maintain a strong and cohesive Alternative Breaks presence on and off campus.
- Finance: Oversees all budgeting, fundraising, and financial processes to ensure the smooth operation and sustainability of the Alternative Breaks program.
- Internal Community Engagement: Strengthens internal community by supporting Break Leader training, managing bCourses, and sustaining engagement within the director and Break Leader teams.
- External Community Engagement: Builds and maintains relationships with campus organizations and community partners to expand Alternative Breaks’ outreach and collaborative engagement.
- Community & Housing Partnership: Manages community and housing partnerships while coordinating logistics, events, and best practices for ethical and effective community engagement.
- Program Development: Expands the program by strengthening institutional knowledge, improving workflows, and building campus relationships to support new trip and justice-focused initiatives.
